OBSTETRIC / PREGNANCY RELATED SONOGRAPHY AND COLOR DOPPLER SERVICES

Harmony Clinic offers the full range of Obstetric / Pregnancy related Sonography and Color Doppler services.

Dating and Viability Scan, (4-7 weeks): for confirmation of pregnancy on missing period and positive Urine / Blood test. To confirm pregnancy is within uterus and not ectopic and whether it is single or multiple, etc. Accurate estimation of the duration of pregnancy based on the size of the embryo. At this stage we give you the complete schedule for the entire duration of pregnancy (40 weeks) so that you can accurately keep a track of the stage of pregnancy at any point in time and also you do not miss important scans and tests.

First trimester Screening (11-13+6 weeks): Nuchal scan also called early anomaly scan involves important recordings of Nuchal Translucency (NT) measurement and presence of nasal bone along with other structural and Doppler details. This scan performed at Harmony Clinic is backed by certification from Fetal Medicine Foundation, UK (FMF) for estimation of risk of chromosomal anomalies.
First trimester Biochemical Screening with Dual Marker is also done at Harmony clinic through FMF accredited laboratory which completes the entire spectrum of the First trimester Risk Assessment for Chromosomal abnormalities and Pre-eclampsia in the same visit.

Anomaly Scan, (18-23 weeks): Each part of the body of the fetus is examined and documented during this scan. The location of the placenta, fluid quantity around the baby, competence of the cervix and utero-placental blood circulation are also assessed during this scan.

Fetal Echocardiography, (20-24 weeks): Though the heart is examined during each scan, the best views of the detailed anatomy of the fetal heart are obtained at this stage. A detailed examination of the heart chambers and their connecting vessels is carried out during this scan.

3D and 4D sonography, (18-32 weeks): These scans which have become very popular can be performed at any stage, but best views of the fetus can be obtained between 18-32 weeks. Three dimensional images of the fetal face, body and limbs along with various fetal movements like yawning and limb movements are great initiators of bonding between the mother and the baby even before it is born. All 3D/4D images and videos that are recorded are given to you on a ‘Harmony’ pen drive.

Fetal well-being Scan and Pregnancy Doppler, (28-39 weeks): These scans are performed to evaluate the growth of the fetus, it’s lie & presentation and also to determine the quantity of amniotic fluid and the position of the placenta. Color Doppler examination of the fetal and maternal vessels at this stage gives vital information about fetal well-being.
